About Us

AstroShruti is a Vedic, KP and Jaimini Jyotish workspace and Hindu almanac — kundalis, panchang, muhurat, dashas and Agastya AI, guided by dharma.

What AstroShruti Is

AstroShruti is a complete Jyotish workspace and Hindu almanac for the phone, the tablet and the web. It brings the classical Indian astrological tradition — Parashari (Vedic), Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) and Jaimini — together with a living Hindu calendar, and presents all of it on a calm, unhurried surface that is comfortable to read for hours. From a newborn’s first kundali to today’s tithi, from an auspicious muhurat for a wedding to a year-ahead Varshphal, the same trustworthy engine sits behind every screen.

We built AstroShruti for the seeker and the serious student alike. If you simply want to know today’s panchang or a good time to begin something, it is there in a tap. If you want to trace a chart through its dashas, divisional charts, KP significators and Jaimini karakas, the depth is there too — without ever feeling cluttered.

Rooted in the Tradition

Everything on AstroShruti is grounded in the shastras. The panchang follows the drik (observation-based) method; the dashas, yogas and doshas come from Parashara, Jaimini and the KP masters; the muhurat logic follows classical electional astrology. Where traditions genuinely differ — an ayanamsha, a Gana matrix, a Mudda reckoning — we tell you so rather than pretending there is a single answer, and we let you choose.

We treat this knowledge with the respect it deserves. AstroShruti is designed in a Vedic idiom — warm parchment, maroon and gold, Devanagari where it belongs — so that the tradition feels honoured, not flattened into a generic app.

Astronomically Accurate

Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris, the same high-precision engine used by professional astrologers and astronomers. Panchang, muhurat and dasha timings are computed to the minute for the exact place and date you ask about — not for a generic city. Our results are validated externally against sources such as AstroSage and JPL Horizons, so the numbers you see are ones you can defend.

You are in control of the calculation itself: 26 ayanamshas (Lahiri by default), 13 house systems, and a dedicated KP mode, all selectable in Settings.

Agastya AI

Named for the sage Agastya, our AI astrologer reads your charts, dashas and timing and answers in plain language — a patient guide that stays rooted in the shastras and can cite classical sources in its narrative reports. It has memory, so it remembers the context you have shared, and a temporary-chat mode for questions you would rather it not keep. Agastya is a companion to the tradition, never a replacement for your own judgement.

For Everyone, in Your Language

AstroShruti works on Android, iOS and the web, in English and हिंदी (Hindi) throughout. A generous free tier covers the panchang, the calendar, kundalis, dashas, match-making and most reports. For those who want more, the Plus and Pro tiers add PDF reports, deeper AI and specialist instruments. And for anyone going through a hard time, there is a free, compassionate Help & Support channel — no charge, no booking.

Guided by Dharma

Our purpose is simple: to make authentic Jyotish accessible, accurate and calm. We believe astrology is a lamp for reflection, not a decree over your life. We build carefully, we tell the truth about what the charts can and cannot say, and we hold ourselves to dharma in how we treat the tradition and the people who trust us with their birth details.
